RC Palmer Secondary School has three second language classes, French is one of the. Learning a new language has 4 important points (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) In French class, most point is develop student to use french speaking. Students will enjoy many different activities, like dialogue, performance. It will also send some written assignments or projects to develop spoken language.

For French 8 and 9, it mostly just need students to practice speaking. Students will do the written and oral work. French 8 will consolidate that students learning french in elementary school, students will work with groups to come and perform some French short plays. French 9 will add a new task that students need to develop vocabulary, it will make them grammar better, students will do the written and oral work.
For French 10, 11, and 12, it becomes core class. French 10 is still care spoken language, it encourages students to communicate in French more often, it will also learn writing ability. Grammar will be more hard, it include past, present, and future tenses. French 11 students will learning in all aspects, it has reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. It also can finish the second language task for university. French 12 will comprehensive develop students' reading and writing abilities.
