Reading Comprehension
In English Literature class, students will develop reading comprehension, writing skills and student inquiry ability.
Writing Skills
For reading comprehension, students will do many various types reading. They need to literal, interpretive, and applied understand. Students will appreciatively and critically in a variety to read and analyze appreciatively the different works, so their learning and thinking skills will develop.
For writing skills, students will learn many different kinds of it, like analytical and argumentative essays. They will also write creative writing. There are poetry, prose, playwriting, and short stories. Goal is make students' thinking, analysis and communication ability to be better.
For inquiry ability, students will ask questions and explore topics. Students will practice critical thinking, research, and communication skills. They will inquiry by themself, and make their own question, they can't just simply receiving information from a teacher. Finally, they will Interpret their research results and make conclusion.
All in all, develop reading comprehension, writing skills and student inquiry ability are very important.
