About English Class
English is a core subject that is taught in educational establishments all over the world. All schools in the world have English class, include RC Palmer Secondary School. In grade 8, English and Social Studies class are merged to one class called Humanities. Begin of grade 9 they change to different class.
In English class, students will practice reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and vocabulary.
ELL Class (Special English Class)
There is also a special English class called ELL( English Learning Level). It's for the student that English isn't the first language. There are 5 levels. ELL1means you only know a little bit or don't know English. ELL 5 means your English is ok.
For ELL 1 and 2, you need to take 3 blocks of ELL. ELL 3 you still need take 2 blocks of ELL.
If you are in ELL 4 , that's means you only need 1 block of ELL. ELL 5 no block for ELL, go to the regular English. ELL 4 can take English 10, 11 and 12.
